Bond Law Review - Editorial Blurb

The faculty of law has been publishing the Bond Law Review for over 20 years. The Bond Law Review is a generalist journal that publishes at least two issues each year. The faculty recently decided to involve students in the editorial process for the Bond Law Review. The Bond Law Review has an editorial committee comprising a General Editor and three Assistant Editors. We are now seeking to appoint up to three students who will assist the editorial process for the Bond Law Review and serve on the editorial committee as Student Editors.

Students who believe they fit the criteria specified below can lodge a two page CV which deals with the selection criteria leading to the compilation of a short list of candidates. The applications should be lodged by email with Jane Hobler (jhobler@bond.edu.au) or blr@bond.edu.au) by Friday 30 September 2011.

Criteria for Selection:

  • Students with a commitment to be available for up to 5 hours work per week during semester weeks
  • A high level of academic achievement in law – 75% average or above
  • For JD students completion of at least 2 semesters
  • For LLB students completion of at least 3 semesters

Term of appointment – a minimum term of I year with provision for extension for 1 year Experience in editing or publication is an advantage

The selection process will involve asking students on the short list of candidates to complete an editing task and an interview.
